Sydney Boxing Contest (Received July 21, 1.15 a.m.) Sydney, July 20. In a not very impressive 15-round contest at the Sydney Stadium tonight in the presence of 12,000 people, Maxie Rosenbloom, 13 stone, easily outpointed Leo Kelly, 12.2, who was outboxed and out-generalled. Rosenbloom never allowed his opponent to got set and, indeed, worried him all through, planting stiff straight lefts to Kelly’s face time and again, usually at the very moment when Kelly was looking for Rosenbloom’s chin, which was very elusive because of the winner’s superior ringcraft. Kelly was rather distressed at the finish. He deceived a real buffeting.
