Reduction in Price STANDARD PACKINGS By Telegraph—Press Association. . Christchurch, July 20. A reduction of 10/- a ton in the price of bran and pollard in New Zealand and uniform sizes of packing, with reduced increments for the smaller sizes have been announced by the Wheat Committee. The reduced price for bulk lots came into force to-day, and uniform sizes will be brought into use as soon as the present stocks of odd sizes are exhausted. Standardisation of packings has from time to time been discussed by the Wheat Committee, and the following sizes have been adopted:— Bran.—Shipping size, 1801 b.; local, 1001 b.

Pollard.—Shipping size, 2001 b.; local, 1501 b. Small sizes of bran will be subject to an advance of 7/6 a ton instead of 10/- a ton, and pollard will bo subject to ah advance of 2/6 a ton instead of 10/-. The difference is based on the increased number of sacks necessary for packing.
