LOW RAINFALL
Auckland’s June Figures
Dominion Special Service. Auckland, June 30. Only three times in the last 50 years has less rain fallen in Auckland in June than the past month, when the aggregate fall was only 2.38 in., whereas in June Inst year a fall of G.OOin. yrns the highest for eight years. The record low June rainfall was experienced in 1891 and 1913, when only 1.47 in. fell.
Rain fell on 15 (Iny.*, the highest fall being .40in. on June 18, according to the report of the official Government observer. The total was less than half the June Average of -l.OOin,
