The evening of the King’s Birthday was marked by the holding of a euchre party by the Brooklyn Returned Soldiers’ Association, which was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. Prizes were won by Mr. and Mrs. Harrington, Mrs. Thomas and Mr. R. Staples each receiving a “booby” prize. Supper brought the evening to a close. A bridge afternoon was held under the auspices of the ladies’ club. Prizes were presented to the winners, Mrs. Tierney, first, and Mrs. Johnston second, and the consolation prize went to Mrs. Bircham. Among those present were Mesdames Wright, Anderson. Fowler, Mouton, Metcalfe, Elias, Tierney. Bircham, Fairhall, Macdonald, Tucker, Stevens, Wier, Gardiner, Good. Morris, Osborne, Thompson, Raddon, Frefrey, Spence, Johnston, Hodson, Gourly. Tracy, and the Misses Goldie, Miller and Tucker.
