Destruction of the alsatian dog Max, belonging to Mr. Furlong, of Paekakariki, was ordered by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in giving his reserved decision in the Magistrate’s Court, AVellington, yesterday in the alsatian dog sheep-worrying case. Mr. Luxford said he had inspected the alsatian, Max, which was sought to be destroyed, and the other alsatian belonging to Mr. Furlong, and he was satisfied that it was impossible to confuse the dogs. Mr. A. J. Mazengarb, who appeared tor defendant, said Mr. Furlong consented to an order that the dog Max should be destroyed. Iu the civil claim the magistrate qllowed £5 general damages ns well as £2/10/-, the value of the two ewes killed. Mr. E. D. Blundell appeared for plaintiff.
