SUNNY BAY GOLF CLUB DANCE

Always an eagerly-awaited event among members and friends of the ■Sunny Bay Golf Club, the opening dance of the season, held at the Kelburn Kiosk last night, was quite up to expectation. The kiosk was gay with streamers and the floor was crowded with dancers, who were kept busy by an excellent orchestra. Many couples sat at the bright little cabaret tables in the-veranda, and it being a clear frosty night, the lights of Wellington were glowing like some fairyland view from the wide windows.

The committees responsible for the success of the dance comprised Misses Heinemann, Agar, Wylie, Messrs. A. Sutherland, K.’ Hill, A. Stark, B. F. Smuts-Kennedy,-C.-Coup,-J. Smith, S. Priest, G. Lambert, A. Boyce, P. Verschaffelt, D. McLeod. Among those present were: —Mr. and Mrs. Scorgie, Mr. ,and Mrs. Fabian. Mr. and Mrs. Gustoffson, Mr. and Mrs. Barnard, Mr. and Mrs. R.
