Tbe English Rugby League team defeated Wide Bay, at Maryborough by 35 points to 8. There was a record crowd of 5000 and the gate-takings amounted to £330.

Despite the loss of Edwards. Eller ington and Bolshaw, who are injured the visitors showed an almost impreg liable defence and brilliant combined bursts of passing. Tries were scored for England by Bolshaw (3), Risman Atkinson, McLnre and Exley. Risman kicked seven goals. Bullock and Fisher scored for Wide Bay and King kicked a goal.
