Stirling Lady Case By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, June 13. The decision of the appeal judges appointed by the Yew Zealand I rotting Coui'erenee to hear the appeal of Mrs. JI. Clark, of Winton, owner ol the trotter Stirling Lady, against a decision ot the New Zealand Trotting Association dismissing her appeal from a decision of the Wyndham Trotting Club, is now announced. The judges. Messrs. B._b. C Hanlon, and J. S. Sinclair, upheld ti e appeal, ordered a return of the deposits made by the appellant for ‘ lc . al Thn TNotreferred the question of costs to the not tin? Conference. , ~ Their conclusion was that proceedin„s which purported to be an inquiry by the Stewards of the club consequent upon an objection made by a stipendiary steward were irregular and ultra vires. j' 1 ; 11 *' 0 apart from this conclusion, the judges slate that the appellant could succeed on other grounds. . The facts are that m the concluding race at the Wyndham meeting Stirling Ladv beat Pot Luck, but the judge s placiims werc reversed bv the judicial committee ou the ground that Stirling Lady bored in the filial stages. The clubs decision was upheld by the Trotting Association, whereupon the present proceedings were taken. .
