Mrs. F. G. Bristed, who has been visiting Rotorua and the Chateau, spent the week-end in Wellington and returned to Christchurch yesterday. Miss Betty Reading and Miss Margaret Salmond will leave by car to-day for ■ Masterton, where they will attend the Aero Club dance, returning to Wellington to-morrow.
Mrs. Lloyd Clay, who has been visiting her brother in Dunedin, and Miss Shirley Clay, who has been staying with Mrs. Peacock, Waipukurau, have returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. E. Palliser, Mr. J. R. Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Blundell, Mr. A, J. Wilson, Mr. H. Angell, Mrs. Norman Perry, Mr. F. E. Holyoake were recent Wellington guests at Chateau Tongariro. Dr. Kathleen Pih, from the New Zealand Presbyterian Mission Hospital in Canton, is spending her first furlough in London taking a course of study at Moorfields Eye Hospital, states the “New Zealand News.” She has already been successful in passing her first section of the D.O.M.S. degree. She spent the Easter vacation in Scotland with her New Zealand friends, the Rev. G. S. and Mrs. Brown, with whom she toured nearly the whole of the province of Angus, as well as paying a flying visit to Aberdeen. The Rev. G. T. Brown, M.A., is now a minister of the Church of Scotland and is settled in St. Columba’s congregation, Brechin, Angus.
