Sir. —Last February the bakers were promised a rise in wages, but owing to the drop in the price of bread the master bakers find it impossible to grant au increase. Now, Sir, how long is this price going to last? We tradesmen are getting fed up with waiting. At present the labourers are paid as much as the tradesmen, and that won’t do. I hope the Minister will get to work and put this right. Why the price of bread was put down to the “cutters' ” mark 1 don t understand. As a worker looking on, .1 -ow the bosses cannot stand, a rise in pay. The miller is doing all right.
