BLOMFIELD BEATS ELLIOT

Lofty Blomfield, of Auckland, and King Elliot, of Wanganui, met in the Civic Theatre this evening to decide the New Zealand heavyweight wrestling title. Tlie verdict went to Blomfield, whose octopus clamp put Elliot out of action halfway through the seventh round. Elliot had isecurcd the only fall in the match to that singe (with a body press in the fourth round), and was ahead on points. Blomficld's weight was given at 16st. 811>., and Elliot's a.s 15st. Gib.
