DEBUTANTE DANCE

Miss Ada Cope, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Cope, Palmerston North, made her debut on a recent evening at a dance given in her honour by her parents at their home. Mrs. Copo, who received the guests, wore a trained gown of black panne velvet, and Miss-Cope wore a frock of parchment mouselline over an accordion pleated georgette slip. A bertha round the shoulders was finished with a satin rose iu front and a satin sash completed the frock. Tjie large room set aside for dancing was gaily decorated with white balloons and red and white streamers,

while in the supper-rooin pink chrysanthemums were effectively displayed.

Excellent music was contributed by Mr. I. Speights, who was assisted by Messrs. D. Livingstone and .1. Moore. Mr. A. Eislng also gave two humorous items.
