PURITANS WIN
Puritans have scored a major victory over modern Chinese flappers, states a message from Canton. Following special instructions police rounded up scores of young women wearlug modern style dresses. Those arrested were released after a severe reprimand. They were told th»it their gowns were “contrary to pulflic morals.” Canton lias banned mixed bathing, mixed walking and mixed sitting in movie houses.
