Ministerial. The Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, Prime Minister, accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. C. A. Jeffery, left Wellington yesterday by the Limited express train for Hamilton, where, today, he will open the Waikato Winter Show. He will arrive back in Wellington to-morrow morning.

Mr. Justice Ostler has returned to Wellington from Palmerston North and will leave later in the week for Auckland to assist in the business of the Supreme Court there.

Lieut.-Commander E. Rhodes left Wellington last night for Christchurch. Mr. C. J. Pugsley travelled sotuh last night from Wellington. Mr. J. M. Hardcastle, general man; ager of the “New Zealand Herald,” Auckland, is visiting Wellington. Mr. W. T. Barton, of Wellington, returned yesterday by the Monowai from a trip to Australia. Mr. I. Van Staveren was a passenger from Wellington last night for the north.

Wing Commander T. M. Wilkes. Director of Air Services, left Wellington for the north last night Dr. A. B. O’Brien, Christchurch, left for the south last night from Wellington.

Mr. P. Borthwick was a passenger from Wellington last night for the south.

The Rev. C, G. Scrimgeour, of the “Friendly Road” radio station, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Monowai from Sydney. Mr. W. G. Walkley, secretary of the North Island Motor Union, returned yesterday by the .Monowai from Sydney.

Mr. W. M. E. Shore, advertising manager of Messrs. W D. and H O Wills (New Zealand), Limited, left Wellington by the Tamaroa yesterday on a business trip to England Mr. II F. Toogood, 11 well-known Wellington civil engineer, returned yesterday by the Monowai from a visit of eight weeks to Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Mr. A. H. Wallace and bis two daughters, of Boundary Road. Kelburn, left on a six months’ visit to the (nd Country by the Tamaroa last evening. They are to return by the Otranto via Suez.

Mr. William Manson, New Zealand manager for James Templeton and Company for the past five years, is leaving to take up a position at the bead office of the company in Glasgow Mr. Manson, accompanied by Mrs. Manson, will leave by the Monterey from Auckland on July 25 for a tour of the United States and Canada
