HOMING PIGEONS
Wellington Society’s Show The Wellington Homing Figeon Society continued it« weekly shows in the clubroom, Newtown Avenue, on Saturday night before a large attendance of fanciers and friends. The classes were for young cocks and young hens which had flown 100 miles or over. Both classes were judged by Mr. K. Hoare, and hie decisions were very favourably received. The winner of each class received a cash trophy donated by Mr. B. Clements and also good prize money. Following were the plaeings:— Cocks (39 entries): F. Couper and Son, 1 and special; B. Clemente, 2; L. Perkins, 3; Dickey Bros., v.b.c.; Smith and Boxall. h.c.; A. Clements, c. Hens (45 entries): Smith and Boxall, 1 and special; Dickey Bros., 2; J. Bolton, Vetone. 3; A. Reader, v.b.c.; J. I’errett. h.c.: Boyd and Sou, c. Next week’s show will be for young cocks, which will be judged by Mr. H. Clark.
