LEADER RESIGNS

Queensland Opposition Party

Brisbane, May 23.

Mr. A. E. Moore has announced his resignation from the position of Leader of the Opposition. The now Opposition leader will be Mr. E. B. Maher.

In announcing his decision to resign. Mr. Moore said: “I have always re cognised that some unpopular thingthat bad to he done during the time I was Premier would lessen the chances of success of the anti-Socialist parties while I remained their leader.”
