DRAMA IN AEROPLANE

Pilot Prevents Suicide WOMAN HELD BY HAIR (Received Maj' 22, 7.50 p.m.) Boston, Maj’ 21. A husky 200-pound pilot saved a young woman from suicide to-day in a grim fight within the cockpit of an aeroplane at an altitude of 10,000 feet. The woman chartered the plane with the apparent intention of destroying herself. As she started to jump the pilot grabbed her by the hair, and, after a strenuous tussle, he managed to operate the controls with one hand and make a perfect landing. Police were unable to identify the would-be suicide, who was removed to hospital.
