THE KISSING HABIT
Scottish lasses and lads are being urged to be canny with their kisses, states a message from Glasgow. Petting, says Dr. Robert Douglas, medical officer of Moray, is one of the causes of spreading disease. In support of this warning. James .McConnachie, health committee chairman, asks parents to advise their young folk to kiss with caution. A suggestion by another member of the committee was that disinfectant lipstick might help.
Black cloth coats which have become shiny can be freshened up by rubbing the material over with a rag soaked in spirits of wine.
