PLEASANT DANCE
A pleasant, evening was spent recently at the Parish Hall, Johnsonville, when Mr. and Mrs. 11. AV. Lawrence gave a dance in houour of their daughter, Clarice. Mrs. Lawrence received her guests in a gown of wine lace with accessories to tone. The guest of honour’s frock was of pink satin cloque. Iler posy, which was composed of roses, carnations and gladioli, from which bung a guilt key, was a gift from her nephews. The evening was spent in dancing, interspersed with elocutionary items by Mrs. Boyes and Miss de Ridder, a pianoforte duet by the Misses C. and E. Lawrence, and a sketch by Mrs. Boyes and Mr. Stockdale entitled, “A Marriage has been Arranged.” Novelty dances were won by Mr. and Mrs. King, and Miss Turner and Mr. Bowler. Excellent music was provided by Mr. Bramley and Mr. Harris, an extra being played by Miss L. Chalker, and Mr. J. W. Mextcd was a capable M.C. A dainty supper was served. Those present included the Rev. C. J. G. and Mrs. Samuda, Mr. and Mrs. R. Ffitcli. Mr, and Mrs. N. Wilton, Mr. and Mrs J. B. Grey. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Hollands, Mr. and Mrs. R. Hollands.
