EPSOM DERBY FIELD
Rhodes Scholar Outsider London, May 21. A remarkable development unusual in a Derby is the relegation of Lord Astor's Rhodes Scholar to the role of outsider. It has been reported that he jarred himself. Other extraordinary features of the Derby are the plurality in the representation of some of the most famous owners, also the fact that two trainers employed by different owners are responsible for nine of the 28 runners. The two trainers responsible for nine of the Derby acceptors are Joe Lawson. Marton. Wiltshire, and Frank Butters, Newmarket. Lawson has five horses iu the race:—Lord Astor's Pay Up, Rhodes Scholar, and Plaster Cast: Sir Abe Bailey's Mendicant Friar, and Mr. S. D. Hollingsworth’s Raeburn. Butters's quartet are the Aga Khan's Bala Hissar, Mahmoud and Taj Akbar, and Sir A. Butt's Noble King.
