The Waco cabin aeroplane of the Wellington Aero Club was used as an aerial ambulance again yesterday on a flight from Wellington to Canterbury, a patient for the Hamner Sanatorium being transported with a nurse by Mr. K. G. Smith. The intention of the pilot was to land at Rotherham instead of Christchurch in order to reduce the distance of the overland journey to Hamner.
