CO-OPERATION WANTED
Amateur Wrestling Body and Union Four members of the committee of the Wellington Amateur Wrestling Association arc to wait upon the Wellington Wrestling Union to request its co-opera-tion and support. At ia- meeting of the association, attended by the representatives of 160 wrestlers, the feeling was expressed that the whole movement was misunderstood by the union and it’ was decided to send a deputation so that the latter body could be made fully cognisant of the movement’s aims.
At the meeting it was emphasised that the association in no way wished to give the impression that it was linking up directly or indirectly with any professional sporting bodies. It was stated that the association had received an assurance from the National Sporting Club that this position was fully understood by the club and that it was willing to help the association with practical assistance. Keen appreciation of this attitude was expressed.
