Accident Claim for £2134 Because the first jury disagreed, a rehearing of a claim resulting from an accident on the Ritnutakit Hill road on February 18, 1935, was opened before Jlr. Justice Blair and a new jury in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday. Plaintiff wa,s Thomas Walton Robertson, 25. formerly a Post and Telegraph linesman, who claimed from Ling .Sing, merchant, of Greytown, £384/1/10 special and £1750 general damages.

The accident occurred in the early morning when plaintiff was riding up the hill on a motor-cycle and defendant was driving a .motor-lorry in th' 1 opposite direction. Robertson was' in hospital with severe I high, leg and wrist injuries from February, 1935, to October, 1935. and from November. 1935, to March, 193 G. Mr. W. E. Leicester apiieared for Robertson and Mr. E. 8. Parry for Ling .Sing. Plaintiff’s case had not closed when tlie court rose.
