lu the Snifrenm Court yesterday before Mr. Justice Blair, a settlement was announced of the case in which Florence Clara Witheford, of Wellington. widow (Mr. G. G. G. Watson), suing on behalf of herself and her son. aged 15, claimed £41)00 from the Dominion Farmers' Institute Ltd. (Mr. E. S. Parry i as the result of the death of her husband, Robert Witheford, in a lift accident on January 14. Under the terms of the settlement £lO5O was paid into court by defendant company and his Honour made an order that £9OO of this amount was to go to tlie widow, £lOO to the Public Trustee to be held on behalf of the son. and £5O toward the costs of the action.
