FOUND DEAD IN BED
Former Imperial Army Officer Found dead in his bed at the Kings Private Hotel, Oriental Parade, on the morning of May 4, James .Stanislaus Murphy was determined by the coroner, Mr. E. Gilbertson, J.P., to have died of heart disease. The inquest took place yesterday at the Magistrate’s Court. Wellington. Murphy was slated to I".' a retired officer of the Imperial Army, lie was aged 54. Evidence was given by Ivj’ Dalkie, waitress, who last saw Murphy alive, Frances Cook, housemaid, who discovered the body, Robert Arnold Couper, manager of the hotel, Constable G. G. Cleverley, and Dr. P. P. Lynch, pathologist at Wellington Public Hospital. Senior-Sergeant J. Power represented the police.
