REPAIRS TO PLANES

Middle Districts Club Palmerston North. Moy 20. Since March 22 the Middle Districts Aero Club, with its headquarters at Mdgori Aerodrome, Palmerston North, has not had a machine in commission, both the dub’s Gipsy Moths. ZK-ABV and ZK-ABA, having been damaged, but it

is stated that flying activities will be resumed in about three weeks. About 12 pupils are waiting to undergo training, while about 50 entries have been received for the flying scholarship mstitututed by Hie club to develop aviation further in the Feilding, Manawatu and Levin districts. The club's two machines, together with two owned by Mr. M. H. Oram, of Palmerston North, an Avro Avian, ZKAAC, and a Spartan, ZK-ACA, are at present nearing the completion of their repairs, it being stated that the former machines are going to cost about £7OO by the time they are completed. It is reported that the club is on the list to receive a Government machine from the next issue, none having been allotted to the club previously. Green and gold have been approved as the new club colours, and a new members’ badge is being designed.
