A feat which is a record for first-class hockey was performed by John E. Searby at Skegness on February 19. He made his one hundredth consecutive appearance for Lincolnshire, scored his ninety-third goal, and has the distinction of having played in every county game since 1920. Searby, who was carried shoulder high from the field, following his side’s defeat by Bedfordshire at "-1, was : presented with a gold watch by Mr. S. B. North, president of the Lincolnshire Hockey Association.
