View From Mount Victoria
Sir, —“Wellingtoniau’s” letter in yesterday’s “Dominion” was interesting, but may I suggest to him that he should visit the “Mountain” at night, when the lights are gleaming? Recently I was privileged to take the captain and chief engineer of an oil-tanker to Mount Victoria, and they were so interested that they were loath to leave. They bad been in all parts of the world and openly admitted that that view was one of the finest they had seen. —I am, etc., KELBURN. Wellington, May 19.
