Crews From Steamer Durham Foul’ whale-boat races were rowed yeslerduy afternoon by crews ropreseuling (he ofiicers and men of the Durham. which is at present in port at Wellington. Each race was rowed over a distance of about Ihroc-quarters of a mile, and competition was keen. Three of the races wore between the port nnd starboard watches, all of those being won by tlie starboard crew. In another race the cadets headed off the ofiicers.
