TUG-OF-WAR CONTEST

Wtjn For Dealey’s Team The Railway Social Hall, Waterloo Quav, Wellington, was well filled on Saturday night when a tug-of-war contest was held for a shield given by Mr. W. Appleton. Dealey’s team (S. Wilkinson, captain, I. Palmer, P. Feeley, P. O'Regan, C. Grace and J. Parker) defeated Head's team (A. Hear), captain, G. Hailey. O. Otterson, E. Leinston, G. Darrell and E. Lomas) after a keen contest. Challenges will be received for the trophy, which carries a cash prize of £lO.
