Vice-Regal. The Governor-General, Lord Galway, accompanied by Captain Heber Percy, visited the Porirua Mental Hospital yesterday morning. The GovernorGeneral was met by the Director-Gen-eral of Mental Hospitals (Dr. T. G. Gray) and the medical superintendent (Dr. B. D. Hart). The party inspected various wards and villas, and the Gov-ernor-General spoke to .many of the patients. Hon. Sir James Allen. M.L.C., and Hon. J. A. Hanan, M.L.C., left Wellington for the south last night. Sir Waiter Stringer was a passenger for the south from Wellington last night. Lieutenant-Commander C. H. Brooks left Wellington for Australia by the Monowai yesterday. Judge Harvey, of the Native Land Court, was a passenger from Wellington last night for the north. Major D. S. Skelton, accompanied.by Mrs. Skelton, who have been visiting New Zealand, left Wellington by the Monowai yesterday for Australia, en route to India. Mr. P. R. Climie arrived at Wellington yesterday from Christchurch. The Rev. J. R. Blanchard left Wellington last night for the south. Mr. E. Johnston left Wellington for the north last night. Messrs. A. and K. G. Wyness, Wellington, left for Australia by the Monowai yesterday. Mr. H. B. Toose was a passenger from Wellington for the north yesterday afternoon. Dr. W. Brydon, Christchurch, left Wellington yesterday for Australia by the Monowai. Mr. W. G. Riddell, Wellington, left by the Monowai yesterday afternoon for Sydney. Mr. D. A. Ewen was a passenger from Wellington last night for the north. Mr. H. D. Vickery, a member of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board, left Wellington last night for the north. Dr. Ebenezer Teiehelmann, Hokitika, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday morning. Mr. D. E. Wanklyn arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Christchurch. Mr. A. O. Wilkinson was a passenger to Wellington yesterday morning from Christchurch. Mr. W. T. Barton was a passenger by the Monowai, which left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Sydney. The Rev. J. K. Archer, who has been on a brief visit to Wellington, left last night for Christchurch. Mr. L. Hamilton-Smith was a passenger from Wellington for Australia by the Monowai yesterday. Mr. Austin Cook. Wellington, accompanied by Mrs. Cook and Miss Cook, left Wellington yesterday afternoon by the Monowai for Sydney. Mr. J. W. Fair, Tiinaru, accompanied by' Mrs.’ Fair, left Wellington by the Monowai yesterday for Australia, en route to England. Mr Clifford Eskell, general manager for New Zealand for Universal Films, left Wellington yesterday by the Monowai for Australia. Mr. C. M. Brierley, of the Vacuum Oil Co. Pty., Ltd., accompanied by Mrs. Brierley, left Wellington by the Monowai yesterday for Sydney. Mr. F. Armstrong, Hawke’s Bay, accompanied by Mrs. Armstrong, left Wellington yesterday by the Monowai for Sydney. Mr. M. A. Conway, Feilding, accompanied by Miss Conway, left Wellington yesterday by the Monowai for Sydney. en route to Colombo. Mr. T. A. Hunter, Wellington, a former director of dental hygiene, and Mr. V. J. Anderson-Brown, Auckland, will represent the New Zealand Dental Association at the annual meeting of the British Dental Association at London, and the International Dental Congress tif Vienna.
