Auckland Men Claiming 40-hour Week By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, May 15. Claims based on a 40-hour week are to bo submitted shortly to the Transport Board by the Auckland Tramway I'lniployees’ Union, the present agreement having expired but continuing to operate until superseded. It is also proposed to affiliate with the National Union of Tramwaymen. The Transport Board's traffic staff at present works 48 hours per week and the permanent and depot staffs 47 hours.
