BANANA PICKLE Twelve bananas, lib. dates, 1 teaspoon allspice. 2 teaspoons curry powder, 21b. Spanish onions, 4oz. preserved ginger, 2 tablespoons salt, 111>, treacle. Skin bananas and cut them into Jin pieces. Chop onions finely, and cut dates into strips. Place all In a dish cover with vinegar (about 1 pint), and about half a pint of water. Place In the oven and bake till a rich colour, which should take about two hours. Bottle, and cork while hot.
