Management Committee Meeting The first meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Badminton Association was held last evening. Three sub-committees were set up to deal with finance, inter-club, aud visiting the various clubs. An application from St. Paul's club (membership about 40) was approved. August 24 to 29 were set down as tiie dates for the 'Wellington Badminton championships and handicap tournament. The New Zealand tournament is to be held at New Plymouth from September, 2 to 9. • . . Matters in connection with the visit of Mr. Devlin, the world champion Badminton player, were discussed fully, and committees set up to make the necessary arrangements. So far as the inter-club matches are concerned it was decided unanimously that the men and women be not separated. Thus the teams will comprise four men and four women, as last season. The singles in the A grade are to be best of three sets instead of only one set matches as last season. The inter-club competitions will commence on Wednesday, May 13. Already the entries comprise six A grade, six B grade, and three C grade. It was decided that each team in each grade will play all the other teams in that grade.
