Evidence of consideiuble damage by deer and chamois to the forest in the Edwards and Mingha areas of the Arthur’s Pass National Park has been observed by the board’s rangers, according to a report presented by Dr. W. McKay at the annual meeting of the board. Dr. McKay said that when he had stated a year ago that damage had been done in this region some stalkers had strenuously denied it, but there was now ample evidence of the fact.
