SENT TO PRISON

Man Who Stole From Former Employer Having pleaded guilty in the .Magistrate’s Court at Eltbam to nine charges of breaking, entering and theft, Janies Thomas Jamieson was sentenced by Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday, to 12 months’ imprisonment with hard labour on each count, the terms to be served concurrently. “It appears that you were for some years in the employ of the hotel into which you broke,” said his Honour. “You left voluntarily, and knowing the premises you did on nine occasions enter the bar and take liquor and money from the till. I will, however, take into consideration the fact that you have no previous conviction against you.” ■
