Two British Paintings (British Official Wireless.) (Received April 29, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, April 28. Queen Mary has acquired the picture •'The Princes’ Vigil,” by Frank Beresford, which records the incident when King Edward and bis three brothers went to Westminster Hall after midnight and remained on guard at King George’s lying-in-state. “The Heart of the Empire,” Frank Salisbury’s picture of tlie Silver Jubilee thanksgiving service in St. Paul’s Cathedral, has also become her Majesty’s property. Both paintings will hang in the Royal Academy exhibition.
