NELSON TROTTING CLUB

New Committee Decides To Hol'd Meeting By Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, March 6. 'The committee of the Nelson Trotting Club some time ago agreed that it was impossible for the club to run a meeting this year in view of the fact that in its opinion to do so would be to involve the club in a very considerable loss. That was the unanimous opinion reached by the committee of nine and the president and communicated to members. Hgwever, the old committee is now no longer in existence, having been thrown out at a special meeting of the club last evening. An entirely new group was set up in its place, for it was shown at the meeting that a large majority of members desired to hold a trotting meeting this year and wished to elect a committee that was willing to run it. It was decided to hold a meeting at the end of April. For the fixture guarantors have assisted to the extent of £450. The club's indebtedness at present is £9O.
