Tribute From English Union That the All Blacks created a very favourable impression during their tour of Great Britain last year is proved by the following cablegram which has been received by the New Zealand Rugby Union from the English Rugby Union: “The committee of the Rugby Football Union congratulates your union on the sporting play and fine impression created by your team during their tour. Glad to hear of the!’’ safe return.” Mr. V. R. Meredith, Auckland, who acted as manager of the All Blacks on the tour of Great Britain and Canada, attended a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union last night, and discussed With members the tour and the laws of the game.
