HERITAGE SOLD
Indian Purchaser at 2500 Guineas (By Telegraph.—By “Poneke.”) Napier, March 5. The three-year-old colt Heritage has been sold by Mr. W. H. Gainford through a Victorian agency to an Indian sportsman. He leaves New Zealand on March 12, so will not race at the Wellington autumn meeting. The price was 2500gn». By Posterity from Homage, Heritage was one of the year’s best three-year-olds, winning the Avondale Guineas and the Trenthilm Stakes. He was trained at ■Woodville by F. W. Davis. A Melbourne message says tlmt_ Heritage was purchased by the Melbourne sportsman Mr. T. D. Gove. Heritage will arrive at Melbourne shortly en route for Bombay.
