Dahlias Form Major Group ■ By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, March 5. In the setting of the Ellerslie racecourse grounds, the sixth national flower show was opened by Lady Galway. At night, with coloured lamps under the inns and main features, the lloodlit gardens were turned into a veritable fairyland. Entries were received from places as far apart as Whangarei and Dunedin, contributing to a show of a magnitude hitherto unknown in Hie Dominion Dahlias formed the major group. The entries totalled (iOO, and the honour of providing the seedling champion of champion bloom went to Mr. S. T. Danby, of Thames, for a magnificent sulnbur giant Bill Aubry.
