Municipal Conference

Napier, March 5. The' municipal conference was continued to-day. The 1937 conference .is to be held at Timtiru on a date to be fixed by the executive.

The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr. T. Jordan, ■ Mayor of Masterton; vice-presidents, the Mayors of Auckland (Mr. E. Davis), Wellington (Mr. T. C. A, Hislop), Christchurch, Dunedin (Rev. E. T. Cox), anil Timaru (Mr. T. W. Satterthwaite) ; executive committee, president and vice-presidents, together with the Mayors of Napier (Mr. C. O. Morse), Mt. Albert (Mr. R. Forner), Sumner (Mr. T. Newburgh), Rotorua. (Mr. A. T. Jackson), Ashburton (Mr. W. H. Woods/, and Hawera (Mr. Campbell) and the chairmen of the town boards of' Papatoetoe (Mr. J. Nicholson) and Otautau (Mr. A. A. Liddell).
