WELLINGTON GROUP MEETS
Institute of Pacific Relations At the annual meeting of the Wellington Group of the Institute of Pacific Relations a welcome was extended to Dr. and Mrs. Scholefield, who have just returned to New Zealand, to Dr. Georgina Sweet, of Melbourne, and Miss M. Griffin, of Fiji. Several new members and friends were present. An interesting talk on Japan was given by Mr. B. Pospisil. who has travelled extensively in the Northern Pacific countries.
The election of officers resulted as follows: Chairman. Dr. W. R. B. Oliver: hon. treasurer. Mr. A. H. Macever; hon. secretary. Miss M. Seaton; committee. Dr. A. G. Butchers. Mr. W. A. Armour, Miss N. E. Coad, Mr. S. Kernse, Mr. W. B. Matheson. Dr. J. W. Mcllraith.
