PROMINENT VISITORS
Arrivals at Auckland From Overseas Dominion Special Service. Auckland, Alarch 1. On his third visit to New Zealand in the last three years. Admiral C. Greatorex is a round-voyage passenger by the Akaroa, which arrived from London on Saturday. Admiral Greatorex is accompanied by his wife and youngest daughter. Of 37 years in the army, BrigadierGeneral C. G. Stewart who, with his wife, arrived by the Akaroa on Saturday, spent no fewer than 14 on active service. These began with several years’ fighting on the north-westerfi frontier of India, and were followed by four years in Egypt and the Soudan. Later he served in the South African War and the Great War. Commander R. C. Garsia, Administrator of Nauru Island, arrived by the British Phosphate Commission’s steamer, Triona. on Saturday, in company with his wife. He Is on a brief holiday visit to the Dominion. Commander Garsia, who is a New Zealander, is making his first visit to Auckland since 1913. He served with the Australian Navy during the Great War, and was a junior officer on H.AI.A.S. Sydney in her famous engagenlent with the Emden, when the German raider was sunk.
