POPULATION INCREASE
February Vital Statistics Wellington district’s population grew by nearly 100 last month, according to the returns of the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Births for the month totalled 177, as against 48 for February. 1935. and deaths, 76, as against 02. Marriage was a third as popular in February of leap year than in the corresponding month of last year. Ihe totals being 110 and I<>s respectively. The regiirar had a busier lime, being called upon to officiate in 36 cases, as against 22.
