MISSING FLYER SAFE

Forced Landing in Bush (Received March 1. 7.30 p.m.) Bulawayo, February 29. Flying Officer David Llewellyn, who was missing between Tanganyika and Bulawayo in the course of a flight from England to the Cape, lias arrived. He was delayed by engine trouble and made a forced landing in the bush north of Mbeya. He bad to make his pistons serviceable with a nail file and clear a runwav to enable him to take off.
