CYCLIST INJURED

Week-end Accidents An incised wound to his right leg, injury to his right eye, concussion and shock were received by Mr. A. C. Barnett, 9 Railway Terrace, Johnsonville, when a bicycle he was riding collided witli a motor ear in the Ngahauranga Gorge yesterday morning. The Free Ambulance was called at 9.55 a.in., and took the injured man to hospital. When she was knocked down by a bicycle on the Parade at Island Bay about 4.55 p.m. on Saturday. Miss E. Cowley, living at Ghuznee Street, received a head injury and shock. Mr. W. Moulton, engineer, residing at 62 Austin Street, received a slight injury to the groyne and right side as a result of a fall from a racing machine at the speedway at about 9.30 on Saturday night. Knocked down by a motor-car when crossing the Esplanade at Petone yesterday afternon, Mr. J. Moloney received head injuries and shock. After receiving medical attention he was taken to the Wellington Hospital by the Free Ambulance. Four motor-cars were involved in an accident at Day’s Bay yesterday afternoon. No one was hurt, but one of the cars was fairly badly damaged. The incident occurred when a car driven by a woman swerved to avoid a cyclist, and three other cars following closely:, behind ran into one another. Tbe. fourth car, xyhich suffered tbe damage,: was driven by Mr. Patrick Gleeson, 117; Taranaki Street.
