Mrs. H. W. Newell is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. Mrs. S. E. Hartigan lias returned to Wellington after a visit to Australia.
Miss P. Peacock, Masterton, has returned to Otago University. Mrs. Gray Young, Wellington, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss Lily Oil, Wellington, is spending a month’s holiday in Auckland.
Mrs. Godfrey Pharazyn, accompanied by Miss Cecilia Pharazyn, Dannevirke, are visiting Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warder, Stokes Valley, will leave Wellington on March 12 for Africa and England. Mrs. Thodey, Gladstone Terrace, has left for a motor tour of the South Island
Miss M. Truby King arrived at, Auckland on Friday from England on a visit to New Zealand.
The Misses B. and D. Buckley, Wellington, are visiting Waipawa for the Cameron-MeHardy wedding. Mrs. Owen Rainger, Remuera, Auckland, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Miss M. Kent, Mount Eden, who has been spending a holiday In Wellington, has returned to Auckland. Miss D. Collett and Miss D. Fahey left Wellington by the Marama on Saturday for Melbourne, where they will spend a holiday. Mrs.’R. E, Hunt, Devonport, Auckland, is Spending a holiday in Wellington and is the guest of Mrs. R. S. Smallwood.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W- Carr, Wellington, returned from a visit to the south accompanied by the Rev. Allen Carr and Mrs. Carr, of Hokitika, who are at present their guests. Miss M, Gilhooly, Pungarehu, is staying with Mrs. G, P. Atley, Palmerston North, who has also as her guest her Sister-in-law, Miss Kathleen Atley, Wellington.
Mrs. Frank Fawcett, accompanied by her small daughter, will arrive by the Akaroa from Bolivia, South America, to join her two children, who are at school in this country. Mrs. Fox (Auckland) is the guest of Mrs. Hawson, The Terrace, before joining the Mataroa for a twelve months’ visit to England and the Continent
Major Agatha Battersby, a Salvation Army missionary from Africa, Who has been spending part of her furlough in Christchurch, arrived in Wellington on Saturday. She will leave on March 12 to join the Strathnaver in Sydney for Africa, where she will resume missionary work in Kenya,
Miss Margaret Mawson, secretary of the girls' department of the Young Women’s Christian Association, will leave Auckland next week for Wellington, from Adhere she will sail by the Ruahine for England. She will be accompanied by Miss Kathelepn Dunning, of the staff of the Epsom Girls’ Grammar School. They expect to be absent from New' Zealand for about twelve jnohths.
