A plea of guilty was entered by Phillip John Inwood, labourer, aged 23, when, charged in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court on Saturday with obtaining £7 by false pretences at Westport on January 28. He was placed on probation for two years.
Victor Stanley Lavin, aged 36. who pleaded guilty to stealing a radio valve, was fined £1 by .Mr. 11. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Wellington Magistrate's Court on Saturday. He was allowed a month in which to pay.
