Lamb Market Weaker BEEF IN SHORT SUPPLY Lamb market: Weaker, owing to larger supplies available. Demand is affected by heavy supplies Home-killed meat and low prices chilled beef. Mutton market: M ethers, market steady and unchanged, but tendency easier for heavyweights. Ewes, firm with moderate demand at the advanced prices owing to shortage of supplies. Beef market: Frozen beef market short of supplies and hindquarters have advanced slightly. New Zealand porker pigs: Values have declined, owing to poor demand for frozen due to plentiful supplies of Home-killed. New Zealand baconer pigs: Market steady and unchanged.
